Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, transmit, store, process, sell or share any personal information about you.

This is not a policy about how carefully we handle your data. There is no data to handle: the app has no account system, contacts no server, and contains no code that sends information anywhere. We do not know how many lists you keep, whether you finished anything today, or that you opened the app at all.

Specifically, zooDo does not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact detail.
• The contents of your lists, tasks, notes or due dates.
• Usage or analytics data, crash reports, or diagnostics.
• Advertising identifiers, device identifiers, or any other identifier used for tracking.
• Your location, contacts, photos, calendar, microphone or camera. zooDo asks for none of these permissions, so it could not read them if it tried.

2. What zooDo stores on your device

The app keeps its own data in its private storage area on your phone, in a local database that no other app can read. That data is:

We have no access to any of it. It is on your device and it stays there.

3. Backups

Because zooDo’s data is ordinary app storage, it is included in your device’s own backup if you have one switched on — iCloud or a computer backup on iOS, Google’s backup service on Android.

Those backups are made by Apple or Google, held under their control, and governed by their privacy policies and encryption, not ours. We never see them and cannot access them. If you would rather your lists were not backed up, you can exclude zooDo in your device’s backup settings.

4. Third parties

There are none. zooDo contains no advertising network, no analytics or attribution SDK, no crash reporter, no social login, no payment processor and no embedded content from anyone else. No third party receives anything from this app, because the app sends nothing to anyone.

The only other parties involved in your use of zooDo are Apple and Google, who operate the stores you downloaded it from. Anything they collect about a download or a device backup is theirs and is covered by their policies.

5. Permissions

zooDo requests no system permissions. It does not ask for notifications, location, contacts, photos, the camera, the microphone, or network access. If your device ever prompts you for a permission on zooDo’s behalf, something is wrong — please tell us.

6. Children’s privacy

zooDo is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children, so there is nothing for us to knowingly or unknowingly gather from a child under 13 (or under 16 in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area).

There is no advertising, no in-app purchase, no chat, no user-generated content shared with anyone else, and no link out to a store or a social network from inside the app. Nothing in zooDo can put a child in contact with a stranger.

7. Your control over your data

Because your data never leaves your device, you do not need us in order to exercise any right over it — you already hold all of it.

• See it: it is what the app shows you. There is no hidden copy.
• Correct it: edit or delete any item at any time.
• Erase all of it: Settings → Clear all data removes every list, task, history entry and setting immediately. Deleting the app does the same, since its storage goes with it. Neither can be undone, and we hold no copy to restore from.
• Export it: zooDo does not currently offer an export file. Your device backup is the copy that exists.

If you are covered by the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or a similar law: the rights those laws grant you — access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and the right not to have your data sold — concern data a company holds about you. We hold none, and we have never sold or shared personal information, because we have never had any.

8. Security

zooDo’s data sits in the app’s private storage, protected by your device’s own sandboxing and, where you have a passcode or biometric lock set, by the device’s encryption at rest. Other apps cannot read it.

The strongest security property here is a structural one: there is no server to breach and no account to compromise. A database that never leaves your phone cannot be leaked from ours.

9. App Store privacy label & Data safety

On the App Store, zooDo’s privacy label is Data Not Collected. On Google Play, the Data safety section reports that no data is collected or shared. Both are accurate descriptions of the app as described in this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

If a future version of zooDo ever does something this policy does not describe — for example, if optional list sharing is added, which would involve an account and a server — we will update this page before that version is released, change the effective date at the top, and describe plainly what changed and what it means. Anything of that kind would be opt-in: it would apply to a list you deliberately shared, and an app you never opt in with would carry on exactly as this policy describes.
